T.I. Dynamic Facades Expands Single Skin Terracotta Rainscreen Range

T.I. Dynamic Facades continues to set the standard for façade innovation, with the expansion of its single skin Terracotta Rainscreen range to include a wider choice of module sizes. As well as facilitating the creation of modern façade designs, the availability of much larger panels will also help increase the speed of system installation.

The latest additions to the T.I. Dynamic Facades Terracotta Rainscreen range mean that single skin module sizes now range from 150mm to 400mm x 800mm and 200mm to 400mm x 1,600mm. Sitting in the single skin Terracotta Rainscreen Classic portfolio, these panels are available in up to 50 colours and a choice of smooth or grooved surface finishes.  One of the main benefits of single skin Terracotta Rainscreen is its lightweight nature, weighing an average of 10kg less per square metre than traditional offerings. This is particularly advantageous where the larger format modules are concerned, as it helps ensure health and safety legislative requirements are met and makes the system easier to handle on-site.

The availability of larger modules is also set to increase the cost effectiveness of using single skin Terracotta Rainscreen. As a larger area of the exterior envelope can be covered using fewer panels, the system significantly reduces the labour intensity of installation. Moreover, the largest module size, with a 1,600mm width, can be installed without the need for an intermediate rail – subsequently reducing the amount of subframing and fixings required.

William Harwood, director, T.I. Dynamic Facades, comments: “Specifiers are increasingly demanding the flexibility to design exterior envelopes that have minimal or no joints. At the same time, as façade innovators, it is our responsibility to ensure that these designs will also be practical to deliver on-site. We have achieved this with single skin Terracotta Rainscreen, which remains one of the most lightweight and high performing systems on the market.”

Facilitating flexibility in design and installation, single skin Terracotta Rainscreen has been developed for use with a choice of three vertical carrier systems. Engineered so the panels can only be installed correctly, these rails also require minimal fixings, which ultimately helps preserve the aesthetic finish of the system.
