T.I. Dynamic Facades Launches New Single Skin Terracotta Rainscreen System
T.I. Dynamic Facades has launched to market the single skin Terracotta Rainscreen system, a new breed of single skin cladding that rewrites the definition of a quality finish, yet remains entirely affordable.
A porcelain material base gives single skin Terracotta Rainscreen the lowest water absorbency on the market, making it more resistant to damage from freeze/thaw than silicon sprayed alternatives. The high baking temperature during manufacture also gives the tiles higher quality and greater consistency in terms of colour and surface finish.
As the only complete terracotta rainscreen system to be fully BBA (British Board of Agrement) certified, single skin Terracotta Rainscreen is proven to require little or no maintenance and overall performance has been tested up to a height of 100 metres.
Weighing an average of 10kg less per square metre than traditional offerings, single skin Terracotta Rainscreen is one of the most lightweight systems of its kind. While this ensures health and safety legislative requirements, it also helps to significantly increase speed of installation.
William Harwood, T.I. Dynamic Facades, said: “From product purchase and installation, through to ongoing maintenance, single skin Terracotta Rainscreen is the most cost effective selection. The BBA certification shall make the system a popular choice with housebuilders, while the design flexibility lends itself to more commercial applications.”
A choice of three carrier systems for load bearing external walls makes Terracotta Rainscreen a flexible specification. To ensure a quality installation, these have been engineered so the tiles can only be installed correctly. Minimal mechanical fixings preserve the aesthetic finish of the system while access to individual tile modules makes replacement extremely efficient.
The single skin Terracotta Rainscreen system is available in over 50 colours and a choice of smooth or grooved surface finishes. Natural terracotta tones in the Classic portfolio are provided in standard module sizes ranging from small (150mm x 800mm) to very large (300mm x 1,200mm).
More diverse colours sit within the Color range, where colour shade is guaranteed and tile modules are supplied at a standard size of 175mm x 400 and 200mm x 400mm. Bespoke module sizes are available upon application.
