T.I. Dynamic Facades delivers a UK first with URBANGLASS
Façade innovator, T.I. Dynamic Facades, has delivered a first for UK construction with the launch of its URBANGLASS cladding system. A man-made homogenous material with the contemporary aesthetics of natural stone or glass, URBANGLASS is thinner, lighter and more durable – making it a revolutionary new product for building design.
Anticipated to be an appearance driven specification, URBANGLASS also offers a number of practical advantages over traditional stone materials. For example, its lightweight construction makes the tiles easier to manage on-site, which ultimately increases the efficiency of installation and keeps site programmes to a minimum. Impervious to staining and free from moisture and frost damage, URBANGLASS also benefits from low maintenance and will preserve its high quality finish, even over time.
William Harwood, director, T.I. Dynamic Facades, explains: “Granite is favoured by architects because of the high quality finish it delivers, but it is expensive to purchase and costly to install. URBANGLASS performs on practicality, yet achieves maximum visual and style impact. As such, we anticipate its launch will inspire the next generation of architectural trends.”
With supply and uniformity of material guaranteed, URBANGLASS is available in a choice of finishes and a wide range of standard colours, pure white being the most popular. To accommodate flexibility in design, bespoke colours can also be manufactured on request. Panel sizes range from 600mm x 400mm to 1200mm x 2400mm, from a 1400mm x 3000mm master panel, giving the specifier even greater freedom to create striking envelope features.
Key to URBANGLASS exterior cladding is T.I. Tracking, a highly adaptable carrier system that incorporates a hidden fixing mechanism to preserve the final aesthetics. Exclusive to T.I. Dynamic Facades, this vertical carrier rail is cost effective to purchase and extremely efficient to install.
As a versatile system, T.I. Tracking can also carry clay, porcelain and the Aerolite stone façade range. From an installation perspective, this means a single outer frame can be used with a wide number of finishes to achieve a varied yet seamless look on the same elevation.
