T.I. Dynamic Facades launches advanced twin skin Terracotta Rainscreen system

T.I. Dynamic Facades has expanded its market leading natural façade portfolio, with the addition of an advanced twin skin product to its Terracotta Rainscreen range.

This new twin skin Terracotta Rainscreen is the only complete system of its kind to be fully accredited by the British Research Establishment (BRE), which means its durability has been tested and proven over time. BRE approval is supplemented by elemental certification for ventilated rainscreens from the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT).

While the Terracotta Rainscreen delivers all of the high performance qualities expected of a twin skin system, it combines these with ease of cutting – a benefit normally associated with using a single skin tile.

A wide choice of tile heights and lengths accommodates flexibility in design as well as installation. For example, most floor slab and punched out window dimensions can be achieved by using one common tile from the standard range. To further simplify installation and reduce the amount of cutting required on-site, a selection of special tile sections for corners, gutters and windows is also available.

William Harwood, T.I. Dynamic Facades, comments: “The wide choice of tile sizes makes twin skin Terracotta Rainscreen a flexible and cost effective choice for any development. Being BRE accredited will also give developers extra assurance that the system will deliver the performance they need, even over time.

Twin skin Terracotta Rainscreen is suitable for use with both horizontal and vertical carrier systems. When used with vertical T.I. Tracking, a smaller number of rails is required than for a traditional horizontal system, which brings the cost of purchase down and makes it less labour intensive to install. The vertical system also allows individual access to tile modules.

Combining proven performance with high quality aesthetics, the twin skin Terracotta Rainscreen is available in 26 different colours and a choice of final finishes – natural, enamelled, slate or metallic. To preserve the finish over time, all tiles are manufactured with an anti-graffiti treatment as standard, protecting the tiled exterior of the building from vandalism. The surface is also self-cleaning, which means the system requires little or no maintenance.

As with all products in the T.I. Dynamic Facades range, twin skin Terracotta Rainscreen complies with all health and safety legislative requirements.
